Description
Designed for use in undergraduate, fire-related courses, the Living on the Edge: Wildland Fire Management Laboratory Manual is one of few available texts for teaching wildland fire management and the only lab manual to address fire management in the wildland/urban interface. With color plates and interactive software programs, it is remarkably affordable and hands-on. Its impressive review panel includes accomplished instructors from 6 Schools of forestry across the US.

The manual includes an overview of fire ecology and lab instruction and exercises in wildland fire management, prescribed burning, and wildland fire management in the wildland/urban interface. It also features a glossary, color plates of fuel models, a wildland fire risk assessment tool, and 2 CD-ROMs.
