:: Moving from QuickTime 7 to QuickTime 6.5 :

This guide details the process of uninstalling Quicktime 7.0 and then installing Quicktime 6.5 for users with Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Due to an incompatibility between version 7 of Quicktime and the software used to author your CD-ROM, this process is required for ITM multimedia titles to function properly.

NOTE:
Uninstalling Quicktime 7.0 will disable Apple iTunes software. It is advised that you proceed with the following steps to enable your CD-ROM to work, but you will have to reinstall QuickTime 7.0 when you have completed using your CD-ROM for iTunes to work. Get QuickTime 7.0 here.

Step 1 :

Click the START button. Move your cursor over All Programs, then Quicktime, then click Uninstall Quicktime.

Quicktime will uninstall. This make take a minute or two.

Step 2 :
Click here to download the installer for Quicktime 6.5.

Either choose Run from the resulting dialog to install directly, or Save to save the installer to your computer and then double-click the resulting icon (QuickTimeFullInstaller.exe) when the download has completed.

After the installation is complete, your CD-ROM title should function properly.
